Hey, it's is Marolyn Randolph and I am back in Oak Ridge after being in Florida for 35 years.  I work at ORAU and my first grandchild is expected the end of September.  It has been fun getting reaquainted with several of my running buddies from ORHS and look forward to seeing more.

Michael Thompson - 07-08-2010
Hello everyone,  This is a fantastic website.  I hope to get Mike up to see it soon.  Thanks for letting us know about the invitation from the class of 1965.  I am afraid that it is too short notice for us.  Mike is really busy with the 80 or so rose gardens that he maintains, especially this time of year.  He really never slows down, except for Christmas when I make him take me home to see my family.

Enjoy this weekend.  I do hope to make it to this terrific site more often.  Thanks to the webmasters for their hard work.

Chris Thompson, wife of Mike Thompson

You guys have a great website!  The Class of '65 is jealous!  Wondering if anyone knows how to contact Susan Clark.  We are trying to reach her sister, Ann, for our class reunion and aren't having any luck.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks, Karen '65

Hello to all - saw Janie McCowan at work the other day and she told me about this great website. Just now starting to tour it and hope to be able to contact some of the old (don't take that too harshly) class mate.

Hope all of you are doing fine and thanks for this website.
Morton Wakeland - 01-25-2010
Well, I see the ladies have the men far outnumbered in responses or 'signing the guestbook' as it's called.  Most thorougly enjoyed reading everyone's comments.  Am a lil late with this, but thanks to Ted's and Snowden's prodding, here I am.  So, most joyous wishes to all my ORHS classmates for a happy and productive 1967, woooops, I forgot, 2010!!  Time does fly!!  Forget the friggin syntax, this is gonna be one hell of a long paragraph.  Jimmy C and Ted C - there are no words to express what you have done for the entire class by creating this website.  And listen 'lil Jimmy' - mail me that damn 'Cas Walker' T-shirt you had on at the 60's birthday party bash in Oak Ridge last year!!  Oh, wasn't that great, i.e., the bash at the ole Wildcat Den.  Life has been good, made it through Vietnam as an infantry sergeant, made it through a Ph.D. and an%$#@*&%professor, made it through 24 years of marriage of a PPMS'ing lady, the first 'P' stands for permanent!!  Gave that up over 15 years ago.  Still single, I see Jimmy H isn't.  You dog you!!  Three wonderful kiddos though.  I'm still trying to figure that one out if you catch my drift.  The two youngest boys came to live with me after the divorce and I raised them.  My 'lil' girl was in college.  That's when I discovered I really do LOVE to cook, when the 'guys' all came together at the 'bachelor pad' in Dallas!!  Two oldest are now married and have one child each - Christmas was outta sight with grandkids, lil Ava Rose - 3 and lil Kasen, 10 months Jan 27, 2010.  If you had grandkids, you know that is what life is about!!  However, my youngest, 24 was battling in the middle East in the Air Force Special Forces group, like Dad, like son!!  He's scheduled back to states mid Jan.  As for me, from Vietnam back to Tennessee in 72, pick up wife to head to Wisconsin to grad school, then to Connecicut to grad school, then to New Orleans to work for Amoco, and then to Jackson, MS to work for another oil company.  Oil patch went to hell and a hand basket - Hello Dallas, Texas.  Laid off like a 5 or 6 times - 'screw this krap' - hello government - Feb 1993.  Been there since...get an inkling for more education - so, hello 4th degree at SMU - ya know, I can finally put two sentneces together after a bunch of years copying everything!!!  Yep, I was a SLOW learner!!  Still have my folks lake home on Watts Bar lake south of Kingston, across from Bayside Marina - open invitation - hope to make it 'home' next summer - home email is betterplanet@sbcglobal.net - hey, don't give me crap on the address - I work for the EPA - smile!!  My folks have gone on.....what wonderful simple folks.  Damnit - Graham still looks 18, what the hell is his secret, and so does Unger.  Unger does have still a bit of a Tennessee 'twang' which I really get a kick out of!!  Sorry Unger!!  Crews - hell, we had to go in and buy his beer, they thought he had a fake ID.  Ann Dickey has not change one iota - if that's how you spell it.   God, Peggy Snyder's smile will sill melt an ice berg at 100 yards....I spoke with sooo many folks at the bash....I has sooo many beers at the bash.....

I'm doing a break here for you to really remember this one.  I've always said, life is nothing more than memories, for we can remember (well if we don't have alzheirmers - smile) what we did yesterday, last year and back in high school, do we wanna remember - smile, however, we have no friggin clue what life holds for us in the next second, next minute, hour, day, week, month or year.  So we we do know, about our wonderful memories, and thankfully, we have such wonderful memories of growing up in Oak Ridge going to great junior high schools and then to the almighty ORHS.  We shall have those memories forever!!!  Happy New Year Classmates!!  Mort
