One of Santas' elves as very, very busy visiting Oak Ridge during the Christmas holidays.  The posted Christmas 2009 pictures were great and I enjoyed  figuring out where each was taken.  Now who to thank?!?

Hey, Everybody! I am thinking of the old days while I wrap gifts. Nostalgia in full bloom!! I hope all of you are well and happy and with the ones you love for Christmas!

Elm Grovers:  Do you remember our Christmas play that was fun and I'm sure very entertaining and that Ann Dickie sang 'O Holy Night' and sounded like a little angell?  I won't ever forget it. Ann Dickie, can you still sing??

Love to all - Merry Christmas

A late Merry Christmas to all. I guess after hiding all these years it is about time to pop up so everybody can say who the h--- is he. I moved away 2 days after graduation so I am afraid I lost contact with the whole class.  I have been happily married for over 40 years to my wife Pat, we have 3 kids and 4 Grandkids. We live in Pembroke,Ga. a big city about half the size of Oliver Springs was when we were going to ORHS. I am in forced retirement , the economy and declining health. If anyone comes to Savannah, Ga. I am only 30 miles away and can give a good historical tour. I would love to hear from any and all of you.
to those of you that remember my Mom and Dad from Robertsville church, I hate to report we lost Dad in Nov 2008 and Mom in Oct 2009

Earl and I want to wish all our friends and classmates a very blessed Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.  We are both retired, bought an RV, traveling and loving it.  Both of our moms are still here in Oak Ridge and we feel very fortunate to have them here.  Our oldest, Todd Stubbs (43), just moved back to the Knoxville area after being gone (Atlanta, Sarasota, San Francisco) for 20 years.  It is so nice to have him near us again.  Our youngest, Wiley (31) is in Denver and loves it.  As others have said before us 'don't know how we ever had time to work'.  I love staying in touch with classmates after all these years and this site is wonderful.  Thanks to Jim C, Ted C (hope to see you and Nancy this winter!), and Nancy S for all your hard work.  Again, Merry Christmas to all    Brenda and Earl Knoch

Hey everybody.... get out there and shake a leg, while you can still navigate!  And have a wonderful 2010!  This will be my year of retirement after 40 years of toil.  Life is good.  Enjoy!

Hello everyone!  I still work out at K-25, celebrated 20 years back in May.  Hey I can retire if I can make it to October 1, 2011!!   Have 4 grandsons, the youngest one is three and my 84 year old Mom is the main caregivers.  My sister Beth and I help all we can.  Eli is a wonderful child, as are my other three grandsons!!  The other three are wrestlers, the oldest is 17 (boy does that make me feel oldddddd!)  He almost won Nationals last year.  He is a junior in HS (Karnes) and already has three full scholarship offers for college, UT-C, King College and (get this!!) Princeton!!!  Have to brag on those!!
My husband Gary and I and stepson Matthew live in Karnes and have been remodelling our home lately. I have a fantastic contractor if anyone is looking to do any remodelling.  He is honest, reasonable and does a fantastic job!!  He does about everything but asphalt and concrete!  Call me and I will be happy to share his name & number.  This country needs people like him who are honest & reasonable instead of being greedy! I personally stand behind him; I wish I could adopt him!
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Hey Bobbie Sue Baker, send me an email sometime!  I would love to catch up with you!

Merry Christmas everyone! This has been another good year for us. Especially at our age when we discover friends and loved ones who are not in good health or are no longer with us. Hope everyone is doing well. Besides working part-time(after retirement), I have started a business on the side. Special Occasion Digital Design, LLC. Again wish all the classmates another healthy and fulfilling year!
Hoyt & Lynn Eason - 12-08-2009
Thanks for the reminder, Nancy, about the website.  Thanks again, Jim & Ted, for making this really happen.  It is GREAT!  It was so much fun to read everyone's comments.  It sure makes me wish we could see everyone through the holidays.

Hoyt's volleyball team won a Silver Medal in the Senior Olympics in Palo Altos, CA, this August.  Our daughter, Kim, and her 'significant other' came to Palo Altos to see them compete.  We got to spend a week with her in San Diego after the games were over.

We just returned from 10 days in Kansas quail and pheasant hunting.  We left plenty of quail and pheasant in Kansas but managed to bring a few home for the freezer too!  Our puppies thought they had died and gone to heaven because they had so much fun!!  It is truly a blast to watch them!

Can you tell we're retired?  And, NO, we're not going to taking another job anytime soon.  We really don't have time.

Love to all and HAPPY, HAPPY Holidays!
Hoyt & Lynn

Hi everybody. Thanks to everyone who keeps this web site going. It's great.

I used to work as an archaeologist in the southeast---most analyzing artifacts. I write mysteries now---Diane Fallon Forensic Mysteries and Lindsay Chamberlain Archaeology Mysteries. You might say that I plan murders for a living now.

My husband retired from the University of Georgia and we moved back to Oak Ridge to be near my mother who still lives in the house I grew up in. I have enjoyed being back in OR and have especially enjoyed getting back in touch with the people I went to high school with.

Happy Holidays to all!

I just discovered if you click on the name listed in the messages below, you can send an e-mail directly to the person posting the message.  Beats trying to look it up.  Try it.

Hi all and certainly hope all is well w/all...that's a lotta 'alls' in that brief greeting butt ............I went to ORHS and most certainly that must account for some allowance for speach.
One member ofthe duo is taking the liberty of speaking for the limited partnership butt when the other is elsewhere, freedom prevails.......oh well.  At this writing we have made it 38 or so years, developed an immense pain threshold, created two children that have created for us four grandchildren.  We live in Kingston, Tn......never fell too far the bomb factory.  The estrogen bearing portion of the relationship is a fantastic teacher and will probably continue another two or so years.  The other party retired in 2005 but took a job back .....double dipping  I think some call it.  We live on the lake and enjoy boating and having people drop by.  Yes damit, that is an invitation.  It is always fun to do  a little cross-dressing (I just love my new yellow pumps).
Need to sign off as text is growing without a formitable basis.

Take care, be safe, and have fun in life........old farts need to develope new means to cut the cheese.
becky & tommy
PMS: With a closing thought or maybe more appropriately an action' allow me suggest you either download or buy a Janis Joplin CD. This is ass kicking music that supports failing memories.......trust me and just do it.......damn I loved those 60's.  I think I would have burned my bra if I had been able to generate the need.
Peace out brothers & sisters!!!!!
Connie Thedford Flood - 12-07-2009
Thank you for working so hard to keep us all informed of our classmates and their lives. It is so much fun to get caught up on everyone.
We are living on our little horse farm in Roane County with dogs, cats, horses, and ducks!  I ride the mountain trails almost every week - weather permitting -and it seems to be the best medicine EVER.
After living in Jacksonville, FL; St. John, USVI; Atlanta, GA; and Hilton Head, SC; I must say this is the best! It is good to be home!!
Kathy Royster Hudson - 12-07-2009
Thanks for the update on the web site. I'm still working at Kentucky Farm Bureau with no plans to retire yet. We have three children and four
grandchildren: 7, 4, 2, and two months. My mother still lives in O.R. and we usually try to get down there (from Louisville) a few times a year. Hard to believe we're ancient now.
Tom Crews - 12-07-2009
All is fairly well in Hilton Head Island, SC for our family. We have an engagement by the youngest to a great gal (happens to be a talented veterinarian as well) and that means more grandkids to spoil are soon to rise on the horizon. I may need some mental health providers soon as I have decided to enter politics (I mean hell if can't you beat 'em, join 'em).  Will announce in mid-January. If any of you are visiting the Island, please give us a call so you can take us out for a drink. Grins for all of you and I hope that the Holidays brings something for each you to feel good about.
