Billy Muenzer passed away Wednesday, 27 July 2011, from cancer. Â I had been seeing him at stamp shows in Knoxville over the past few years. Â He fought the good fight and was victorious in showing many people how to live with illness. Â I knew him since 1953 at Elm Grove school; Â I never had any complaints with him. Â He was a good fellow and I will miss him. Â Peace!
Oh, I am sorry to learn this. I had known he was ill.
I have known him since Elm Grove, too, and knew him to be a fun and cheerful kid, even when he'd been into mischief! He was an interesting person and I'll miss knowing he is in the world!
Steven, is that you from forever ago and from Trinity Methodist with the most gorgeous and stylish mother (yours, and mine, too, of course!)
Sorry to hear about Bill.
We were are on the same Saturday bowling team. I remembered we competed
in team and doubles competition. Bill and I won third place and we each got a trophy.
I remember that day because 30 minutes before we were to compete, I was at home barefoot and stepped on a honey bee! My left foot was swollen so it made it difficult to tell when I put my left foot down on the alley floor. Guess that's my excuse for third place! ha! Bill was a good friend.
