Mr. Curtis D. Baumann, age 61, of Jasper, Ga., died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga., following a brief illness.
Born June 7, 1948, in Oak Ridge, Tenn., he was the son of the late Carl Daniel and Elva Sherman Baumann. Mr. Baumann had served in the United States Army Reserves and was project manager for Williams Marble and Tile. He was Presbyterian and attended New Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Baumann, of Jasper, Ga.; stepsons, Ford Pearce, of Norcross, Ga., and Brad Pearce, of Atlanta, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Maryellen Baumann, of Bloomington, Minn.; and niece, Laura Baumann, of Sacramento, Calif.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at the New Lebanon Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Ben Laughlin and the Rev. Julian Brackman officiated, with a reception following after the service. The interment followed the reception at Lake Forest Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to New Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 389 Bent Tree Dr., Jasper, GA 30143.
