Case William 2016

Biography: Memories of growing up in Oak Ridge and of ORHS etc:
Actually I'm working on a blog about that now. Will supply a link later.

Education:
1970 University of Tennessee, Knoxville: Bachelor of Arts (BA), Sociology, Economics, Spanish
1973 University of Tennessee College of Law: Juris Doctor (JD)
1983-1985 University of Tennessee, Department of Romance Languages: Graduate studies in Spanish literature

Military:
I served as an officer (Armor, Civil Affairs) in the United States Army Reserve from March 1974 to July 1984.

Career:
March 1974 – September 1976: Attorney Land Examiner, Chicago Title Insurance Company, Chicago, Illinois October 1976 – March 1977: Travel in Colombia April 1977 – June 1984: Importer & Retailer, Gatlinburg, Tennessee July 1984 – March 1985: Co-Manager, Almacén Deportes Olimpicos, Bogotá, Colombia April 1985 – June 1987: Title Attorney, Knoxville, Tennessee July 1987 - December 2012: Title Attorney, Sevierville, Tennessee

Family:
In the summer of 1970 I married Stella Gaviria Neira in Bogotá, Colombia. This summer Stella and I will celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. We have two beautiful daughters: Michelle Cristina Kimmons who lives in Atlanta with her husband Joel and daughter Lannea, and Maria Stephanie Turpin who lives in Knoxville with her husband Paul and daughter Lucy. Michelle Cristina is an artist and Maria Stephanie teaches art in the Knox County public schools.

Travel:
My wife Stella and I have traveled throughout Colombia a great deal. More times than I can remember in fact. In the year 2000 we visited Italy which was our first, and only, trip to Europe. Since retiring Stella and I have begun traveling again including a trip to Quintana Roo, México, in 2014, a trip to Guanjuato, México and a river cruise from Montreal, Canada, to Boston, both in 2015, a return trip to Yucatan and Quintana Roo, México, in March of this year, and a trip to Santa Marta and Bogotá, Colombia last month (April, 2016).

Words of Wisdom:
Travel as lightly as possible and when confronted with a clean bathroom ...'carpe diem'.  :)
