I’m married to John Overly, UT System Architect and Capital Projects Manager, and we live in Knoxville, Tennessee.  We have two sons and three grandchildren.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Industrial Management while working for the three plants in Oak Ridge. Â I retired two years ago from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory after 44 years of service at all three plants. Â For the last 15 years of my profession, I worked in the International Safeguards Organization, which meant striving to keep nuclear materials out of other countries and the international travel required for this effort. Â It was very interesting but challenging, and instilled a feeling of accomplishment for helping to make this world a better place.
Most of my biological family is deceased now…I’m the youngest of five children, and my parents and three brothers are deceased, leaving my 81-year-old sister and me.  It’s a sad and lonely feeling to lose those you love so dearly.
I wish all of the ORHS 1966 graduates good health and every happiness!
