Susan James, 66 of Manchester, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. James will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Manchester with burial at 2:00 PM in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Butler, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. James was born July 30, 1948 in Oakridge, TN the daughter of Anita Weaver and Robert Burton Provine, Sr. She was a social worker with Department of Family and Children Services. Mrs. James was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting wind chimes. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Burton Provine, Jr.

She is survived by her husband Jack James of Manchester; sons: Jud (Rene) James and Joey James all of Manchester; grandchildren: Hillary (Justin) Bolin of Columbus, Harrison and Charlie James both of Manchester; great-grandchildren: Janice Klaire Bolin and Kyle Bolin both of Columbus; and siblings: John Provine of Freeport, FL, Jennifer Provine and David Provine both of Oakridge, TN.
