Noey John and Linda 2016
Â
Bio - John Noey , 50th High School Reunion
Aloha to all my classmates on the 50th Anniversary of our graduation. I couldn't make it to the big event in Oak Ridge but I do want to send my greetings and good wishes to everybody there.
My wife, Linda, and I have been living on the North Shore of Oahu for the past 20 years. We came here shortly after we were married for a short stay to help a friend out, and we ended up staying. We both have been living in an intentional community, Lafayette Morehouse, for over 40 years. Our group teaches personal enrichment courses. Â A distinguishing feature of our group is our purple houses.
I became a video editor and videographer at our community television station and was involved in many productions. Over the years, I was also involved construction jobs on our properties, teaching in the sensuality department, playing drums in our band, and in my younger years, was a member of our boxing team when we boxed schools such as Cal/Berkeley, Chico State, and Santa Clara University.
With my previous wife, I have a daughter, Elizabeth, who while earning her PHD in chemistry at UCLA, also won a USA National Collegiate Triathlon Championship leading her teammates to the National Title. She was married last year to long time boyfriend and fellow chemist, Michael Lerch.
Linda has a daughter, Angie, a beautiful granddaughter, Madeleine, and son-in-law Brian Galla, who is a professor at the University of Pittsburgh.
Now in Hawaii, in our semi retirement, my wife and I enjoy the small town country life of Haleiwa and the North Shore. We manage a charity that feeds people in need on the North Shore, work the big Honolulu farmer's market a couple times a month selling Honey Girl Organics Skincare Products, appreciate the magnificent natural beauty of our surroundings living in our purple house, and catching some video with my drone.
