Smith Eddie 2016 I am semi retired from Local #614 Steamfitters but I am still very active with serving as the President of the local union and teaching classes as needed. Â I also serve on the board for health and welfare. Â I also have been active in church serving as a missionary to Africa thru the RA program. Â I also have been in the Masonic Lodge completing a Scottish rite degree. Â I found my sweetheart and wife of 47 years on a blind date, but not with her. Â We have a son Frank and daughter Jodie. Â They have given us a great joy of 4 great grandkids. Â We live close and have a great time together. Â
Served with the Seabees in 1969 in Viet Nam. Â After discharged from service I went into apprenticeship program with the Steamfitters Local following as fourth generation in the local. Â I also continued my education with a teaching degree from East Michigan State University. Â I have been blessed by my Lord Jesus in so many ways and give Him all the glory for what I have and all He has done in my live.
I have been in Cordova, Tn. since graduation.  We travel quite a lot and love it. We are mainly beach people but try to have a ball where’ve we go. Destin is our home port where we usually go two or three time a year. Gone to Hawaii twice, Boston, Grand Canyon, Canada, Sedona, and all the beaches in Florida that are drivable, also have been to St. Thomas.  We have been on 2 family cruises and have been lucky that our family still like to go with us.  Look FORWARD TO seeing all of you at the re-union.
