Wiggins Larry 2005
Cancer
Larry Paul Wiggins age 58, of Hammond, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2005, after a four year battle with cancer.  Larry born in Oak Ridge TN on June 14, 1947, joins his parents Ira and Hazel (Finchum) Wiggins in heaven.  He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Denise (Scoggins); his daughters:  Lisa (Bob) Price, Amee (Shawn) Liptak and Bethany (Cody) Carrier; and the absolute joys of his life, his grandchildren:  Keyanna (8) and Nathan (4) Liptak and Emmalee (2) Carrier.  Also surviving are his brothers: Chet (Linda) Wiggins and Richard Wiggins; his beloved mother-in-law, Beatrice Scoggins; and a host of family and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20 2005 at the Christian Fellowship Church, 605 165th Street, Hammond, IN with Marvin Wood officiating.  Interment at Memory Lane Cemetery, Schererville, IN.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, December 19, 2005 from 2:00- 4:00 AND 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Kuiper Funeral Home.  Larry served four years in the U. S. Navy.  He moved to Hammond to begin work at Youngstown Steel Mill where he was employed for 36 years.  Larry retired in 2001 from LTV Steel and then opened his own home improvement business,  Wiggins Repair and Improvements.  Anything involving wood and a hammer was his passion and he loved more than anything his time spent in his business.  Larry loved his family and it was felt in the way he cared for us on a daily basis.  His life was greatly enriched with the addition of grandchildren eight years ago.  Never before was his heart so full.  Larry waqs a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Hammond for 34 years and served as a Deacon, financial secretary, AWANA leader and general 'Handyman'.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian Fellowship Church or Jimmy Clark/Kid's Alive.
