6-2006  I live in Gunnison, Colorado, which is the south central part of the state.  The altitude is 8700 which makes us one of the coldest places in the country some winters.  This past one we set the coldest mark 13 times in the month of January.  That said, Gunnison is one of the most beautiful places on earth.  In the winter, my business is taking people dogsledding in the back country surrounding Gunnison.  We are only 28 miles from the Crested Butte ski area and most of the clients come from that tourist base.  In the summer, I raise and train horses for dressage and jumping.  Besides horses and dogs, there are chickens, geese and cats on the farm.
