KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Ethel Sara Scoggins Sensenbach, age 94, of Knoxville, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010.
She was a native Tennessean, born in Nashville and graduated from Vanderbilt University. Mrs. Sensenbach was the wife of the late Dr. Charles W. Sensenbach. Married for 59 years, they resided in Oak Ridge from 1963 until his death in 1999. She has resided at Echo Ridge for the past 10 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan Sensenbach, of Tyler, Texas, Sara Sensenbach (Tom Joseph), of Ponte Verda, Fla., and Ann Garry (Gordon), of Knoxville; son, Charles 'Buddy' Sensenbach Jr. (Sharon) of Knoxville; eight grandchildren, Ashley Ramsey (Adam) of Orlando, Fla., Hunter Myszkowski and Austin Myszkowski, both of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Jim Rapp (Margaret), of Tyler, Texas, Karl Rapp (Jenny), of Chattanooga, Blake Sensenbach, Shannon Sensenbach, and MacKenzie Alleman, all of Knoxville; two great-grandchildren, Jameson and Taylor Rapp, of Tyler, Texas.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Echo Ridge.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Luminary United Methodist Church, 3401 River Road, Ten Mile, TN 37880-2333.
