05-01-2014 - Class of 65 Obits: Mashburn, Kelley and Kincaid
BETTY CAROLYN KINCAID GREENE
Betty Carolyn Greene, age 67, of Oak Ridge, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 18, 2014, at her home. She was born April 24, 1946 in Greeneville, Tenn., the daughter of Dana and Minnie Honeycutt Kincaid. Carolyn was a 1964 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking. Until her health began to fail, she attended Solway Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Paschal “Cotton” Sevard Greene Jr., on April 15, 2010. She is survived by daughter, Sherri Greene of Oak Ridge; beloved grandson, Jairyd Greene of Knoxville; sisters, Judy Journeaux and husband, Michel, of Oak Ridge, Wanda Weaver and husband, Clifford, of Oak Ridge, Sandra Gibson and husband, Robert, of Knoxville, Mary London and husband, Glenn, of Knoxville and Donna Wright and husband, Ray, of Loudon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Family and friends will meet for a graveside service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Glenn London officiating. Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements. An online guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.

MICHAEL T KELLEY, 68, passed away after a brief bout with cancer. He was raised in Oak Ridge, graduating from Oak Ridge High School.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph N. and Edith Templeton Kelley, he is survived by one brother, Patrick Kelley, Great Britain, and Pat’s two daughters. Before his retirement to Las Vegas, Mike owned and managed apartments in the University of Tennessee area of Knoxville for many years. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

MASHBURN, ROBERT 'BOBBY' CURTIS - age 67, of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Briarcliff Health Care Center, after a lengthy battle with his second bout of cancer. He was born September 16, 1946 in Asheville, North Carolina, the son of Mary Ola Gunter and Curtis Frank Mashburn. Bobby was a 1965 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Following high school, he joined the Tennessee National Guard where he served for nine years. He retired from the Y-12 plant at BWXT where he was a Production Management Specialist. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge #1684, the Oak Ridge Sportsman's Association, the Oak Ridge Country Club and the National Rifle Association. Bobby was an avid UT Vol football fan and was just as passionate about playing golf and fishing. In his early years, he was a football coach for the Oak Ridge Boys Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and by his father-in-law, Norman Snow. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Snow Mashburn; brother, William J. Mashburn; sisters, Patricia Ann Asquith and husband Donald and Mickie T. Mashburn, all of Oak Ridge; mother-in-law, Maryetta 'Midge' Snow of Oak Ridge; nieces and nephew, Leslie Asquith Minor of Knoxville, Scott Asquith and wife Elena of Oak Ridge and Jackie Mashburn of Dayton, OH; 8 great nieces and great nephews and 1 great-great niece. Family and friends will meet on Friday, April 25, 2014 for a graveside service at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Dr. Steve McDonald will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard Honor Guard. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of Thompson Cancer Center, especially to the ladies in the Infusion Center and to the awesome nursing staff in wing 200 of the Briarcliff Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the  American Cancer Society . Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
