Oak Ridge High School Class of 1966 - Latest News

The Oak Ridge Art Center is sponsoring a fund raiser event on Friday, October 16, at the Double Tree Hotel in Oak Ridge, 7:00 p.m. to Midnight.  The event will be a 60's Band Reunion and Dance Party that will feature ten regrouped bands from Oak Ridge and Clinton that were popular in the 60's and early 70's, in chronological order with principal year in parentheses: The Earls (1964), the Deltas (1965), The Rogues (1967), the Knight Riders (1967), The Embers (1967), the Soul Sanction (1968), the Pastels (1969), The Impacts (1969), and Stone (1972; with a special appearance by Kathy Hill.  The party will be anchored by C. Vaughn Leslie and Boys' Night Out, a popular R&B retro band that has been playing in the area since 1984.  Admission wrist bands are on sale at $25 per person at the main branch of the TnBand and at the Art Center.  Folks from out of town who might want to attend can contact Jake Alexander at jalex1@att.net or at (865) 705-6602.
