Michael Wayne Pearson, 68 of Knoxville, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away
peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 21,2016 after a brief illness. Michael spent 10 years in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician first class and was honorably discharged in April 1977. He retired in 2011 from G.E. Medical where he worked as a field service engineer. Michael was a car and gun enthusiast. He especially enjoyed driving and working on his 1984 Mercury Capri RS. He was a member of the Tennessee Valley Mustang Club, Mensa and the NRA.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents: Jack W. Pearson and Dorothy McLin Pearson. He is survived by his beautiful bride, Theresa(Teri) Keen Smith-Pearson; Sister, Patti Davenport of McMinnville; Brother and sister-in-law Allan and Gloria Pearson of Lebanon and numerous nieces, great nieces and a great nephew.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday January 30, 2016 at Baymont Inn & Suites, 209 Market Pl Blvd. Knoxville, Tn 37922. at 12:00 noon. Family and friends are invited to come and share stories of how Mike had impacted your life.
