Leichsenring Nancy Markeloff

Nancy is a retired advertising artist and opera singer.  She and her husband of 37 years, Robert, a retired chemical engineer, live in Kingwood, a suburb of Houston, Texas. They have two sons and two adorable grandchildren, Alex (2) and Abigail (nearly 2). Besides babysitting for the grandpeanuts, Nancy writes, programs and operates projected surtitles for performances at Opera in the Heights in Houston. She served as assistant director of the Col Canto Art Song and Vocal Chamber Music group and Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival. She was a regular singer/performer for both organizations. Over the last 20 years, Nancy has sung 40 major roles with the Moores Opera Center, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston, Amarillo Opera, Shreveport Opera, The International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, Lyric Opera of Waco and Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival. She is currently planning a concert of unpublished classical music parodies by Anna Russell
