 Oak Ridge High School Class of 1966 - Latest News 03-30-2009 - ORNL test high tech power cable Research conducted by ORNL over the past two decades is been used by American Superconductor of Devens, Mass to develop a new high tech power cable. The new cable can carry 10 times more electricity and has a built in surge suppresso to protect power grids. This will prevent the massive blackouts we have exprienced in the past.
